Sage has new gear! Who would've guessed. Nuff said.
Winston has a new line of fast action rods called Nexus. Price is competitive at $475 - $495. They also are coming out with a "Microspey" line(extension of the BIII TH line)of rods, meant specifically for trout. These should be out later this year and are $830.
With the help of Joe Saracione, Abel has a new, sealed drag reel. Guess what they call it. "Abel Sealed Drag" Starting MSRP is $550.
Nautilus has a big, 5" dia reel called the Nautilus Silver King, built for......well, silver kings.
Apparently Ross reels was bought by the Mayfly Group, and they have a new reel called Animas. Starting price is $225.
Simms has two new wading staffs. One is aluminum, and one carbon fiber. Guess what, they don't come with a retractor now. You have to buy that separately. Yea! Price is $99.95 for the aluminum, and $149.95 for the CF. The retractor is $24.95
RIO, Airflo and Scientific Anglers have brand new lines out that are the farthest casting, highest floating, and most sensitive ever. It's about time I say. Oh, and SA has a new textured line out called Sharkwave. MSRP is 99 dollars, and that ever present 95 cents.
Last, but not least, Echo is coming out with a fiberglass switch and spey rod to go with their single hand rods. These have similar cosmetics, with a traditional look. Best of all, MSRP is $279 - $299.
