Top Delta fly guide Mike Costello is often booked a year in advance. You might luck out and find he has an opening.
Steve Santucci has one of the nicest skiffs on the Delta, and is a top guide for the area.
Not sure he's still guiding, but long time Delta guide, Ed Marcillac has a very good reputation.
Somewhat of a newcomer to guiding the Delta is Capt Maury Hatch. He has a brand new skiff for the Delta.
I know of a handful of others, but these are the guys that first come to mind.
Tune up on your casting. The longer you can cast, the better your odds are at catching fish. If you can, buy/borrow a fast/super fast sinking tip line. A shooting head setup would be ideal. Practicing with what you'll be fishing, will make a potentially frustrating day, into a fun one.
