New to the forum

Postby tattooedflyguy » November 1st, 2015, 7:47 pm

Hello...

I was introduced to this site/forum recently by a nice gentleman at The Fly Shop in La Jolla. Still getting my bearings but wanted to check in and say hi.

I've started fly fishing in the early 90's becoming serious in the mid to late 90's. I grew up in Arizona and most of my fishing was for bass, panfish, and stocked trout on lakes in Southern Arizona. Over the years I've had the opportunity to fish the rivers in Yellowstone Park, the Au Sable and Au Grey in Michigan, and the flats in Rockport Texas for Redfish.

I moved back to San Diego about 7 years ago and shamefully admit I hadn't fished since I've been back. I recently decided to do some research and get back out on the water. I had no idea how diverse the fishing was here. I look forward to learning more and meeting more like minded people and of course getting back out there doing something I love.

Hey Marc, welcome to the fray.....as many have already said, just a great group of people who are willing to help.

Do not know if you own a float tube, but there are some great lakes for bass fishing in SD County!
