Hello here to all,
I know I know it was looong time I didnt post here anythink and I do appologaize for it. I hope these pictures you are gonna to see will make you to forgive me.
These fish where caught in December and January 2015/2016 and all these fish were sight fish with dries flies. And many larger fish were lost or they broke my line. One Brown was around 90 - 95 cm, and around 5 - 6kg, he drag me around 150m up and down the river 3 times....I have to swim on another side of river.....crazy staff....I had him once close to my big net, but he didnt fit there and then he just roll and buum after 20 minutes he was gone.....
Fishing here in NZ definetly improve my skills not in nymphing but in dry fly fishing. Mostly when you see the fish before the fish see you
, you have max one or 2 cast to make it count, 3 cast the fish usually spook for 90%. But the beuty to spot the fish, cast the fly and wait for the Brown to go up and take the fly.....thats priceless and my hard is always stops before the trout taking the fly.
I will try to keep you guys update it and next one will be Rainbows.
Also next weekend I am exploring new river wich should have big Browns and the hike should be around 3 - 5 hours in, so wish me luck.
This pool is over 3 meter deep, and I do know I was swiming ther
And yes I fish here too for big ones
Hope you enjoyed these pictures, many thanks to Isabel, she was big part of netting and releasing fish and also taking breath taking photos.
