Need help

Hi guys....
my fly rod is stuck.....the section were little loose so I put little of wax there....it was working just fine but after last fishing I cant get the fly rod a part
.........any advice?

I had a rod that I could not get apart no matter what I tried including what PT linked, and I did all the other tricks to no avail. I finely sent it back to the manufacture to deal with it, They said they could get it apart no mater what, again it would not come apart. I ground down one part of the rod and replaced it with a new section. Now I always use this stuff and have never had a problem, http://www.renzetti.com/index.php/fishi ... ube-detail
And don't ever use wax on the ferrules and fish in salt water, it will turn your rod into a one piece rod forever!

Put the rod behind your back at your knees and try it that way.

I've been using wax all my life and never had a problem. Then again I don't fish salt water much either. I have tried the flexing method of bending the rod while twisting and pulled some friends rods apart before.

I just thinking out loud and I don't know the consequences, but what about penetrating oil used to free rusted parts, or even using WD40 and see if allowing some of that to soak at the ferrule will loosen it. Again I've got no real experience using them, just thinking about what works in other applications. Then again those two might have some negative impact of the epoxy resins, I'm not sure.

Zee, link to an article that discusses several methods including use of WD40 and
one that finally worked for him: using a ziplock bag of ice on one section and a ziplock bag full of hot water ON the other section.

Hi guys....

I did try everythink.....but nothink is working for me.....I will be bringing the fly rod here at shop....dealer from Sage and I hope they will figure out.
