Saltwater Add-on

Postby DrCreek » July 4th, 2016, 7:39 am

I looked high and low for an answer to this, and didn't see a thing. Maybe one of you guys know...

I currently have a freshwater license only..Can I simply go somewhere and get a salt attachment or do I have to purchase an entirely NEW freshwater license and get the salt attachment at the same time? Mike

Dr. Creek-
I believe you can go to the website and add the Salt Water ticket on line. I buy it together each January and think I remember a box where you can do that.

Actually, if you have a yearly resident license (and I suspect you do) it is valid for both fresh and salt water. What you need to get is an Ocean Enhancement Stamp, (needed for ocean waters south of Pt Arguello), but that only costs $5.14. You can get that stamp at most fishing tackle stores and do not need to get another license.

Norcalbob is right on the money. Says that right my license.

Ditto. I add the stamp when I do my first off shore trip of the season.

Ocean Enhancement Stamp $5.14 this year IIRC. I just purchase it when I go online to get my annual lifetime license.

Hope all is well with you, just got back from the GTW fish fest!

Doing fine, John. Post some trip pics !!

I gotta get this salt thing figured out. Mr Cullip has (unknowingly :bananadance: ) "agreed" to be my quasi-mentor, so I'm pretty jacked about getting my first Pacific line in the water. I hope that getting in the salt will also aide in me being able to once again see some of my freshwater forum friends that I haven't seen in forever.
