YUP...that's what it's like!
The "Blow-up" can really catch you off guard, even when you are expecting it!
We have some of those "Secret" desert bass filled lakes right here in good-ol Cali.

Pardon the plug, but the summer issue of The Drake magazine has an article of mine about fly fishing for bass. I wasn't going to mention it, but since there was this thread on bass...

I just read Brian's post about it or I wouldn't have mentioned it here, but it is not on the forum, just in the paper magazine which you can find in some fly shops or at Barnes and Noble.

I ordered the hard copy magazine on line from The Drake for $7.00. Looking forward to reading it for the first time.
