The Mrs. just came back from the OC Fair and showed me these photos!
Our famous net crafter Greg Madrigal had a couple of his nets up for display in the Woodworking Exhibit.
And took some honors!
Congrats to you Greg!

Thank you Luc. Barring you lose or have it stolen as mine was recently, it should last even longer. They just need a little TLC once or twice a year. Jimbo, Thanks for the nice words. I make nets where you'd barely notice the dings and scratches-By using stabilized wood. Besides, a touch of oil or wax practically makes scrathces disappear. If after 5 years, it gets beat up pretty good, my nets can be refinished to like-new since everything is inlaid. So you can sand and sand and it will be the same as when it was new.lucfish wrote:Jimbo: I can tell you the wood is seasoned so well, they are hard like rocks. If a Brodin lasts you five, Greg's net will last 15, three times as strong. He uses a wood, I think it's called wenge at the yolk, I've seen the wood in its raw form and it is like a rock, it is that hard. It keeps the net from breaking there. Nice job on the the honorable mention Greg.
