What's the coldest you've fished in CA?

You may want to rethink those plans, with this "Atmospheric River" that is currently hitting the Sierra they are predicting floods & the one area that gets hit the hardest is the canyon just south of Bridgeport causing it to close.

About 5 years ago in November on closing day I fished Grant Lake and Walker Lake, I saw the truck say 14 but I'm sure it was colder down the hill, Walker Lake was half iced over by then. Caught some browns up to 16", skinny due to post spawn.

Coldest I've seen was January 2nd about 5 years ago at Crowley Lake, 10 degrees on a clear beautiful day. Thankfully it warmed up to 22 at HC and had an excellent day of fishing!

Good call. We ended up canceling due to the avalanche advisory. Ended up being a beautiful weekend but better safe than sorry.
