Wishing everyone the best on a day that celebrates freedom. A day to put aside our philosophical differences, you know, like dry fly vs nymphing. A day where it's okay to fish the left bank, or the right, depending on where the fish are lying. Or for those of us who fish in the middle of the river, taking advantage of all the possibilities.
It's a day where we are all on equal footing, regardless of our race, religion, sex, or orientation, where one is judged solely on the passion and stewardship of loving our resource.
Today is that day where we show the world the opportunity available to all of us. From chasing trout in the Sierra to throwing at Tarpon in the Gulf of Mexico; stripping poppers for bass, or swinging for steel, blue lining a 1wt, or slow trolling in a float tube....
We really are blessed to be the greatest nation on Earth.
Happy 4th!
