I love mushrooms.... but I freely admit I’m a big mangina when it comes to wild shrooms. Hardcore shroomers got to have a big set of maracas.

Yep, you don't get a mulligan on eating the wrong ones. Hopefully we get another sighting of Bob this July!

Like Luc at Canyon, I'll only fish one way at least at our local mountains. Top water or bust. Bob was fishing subsurface the whole time.

Nice! Good to see Bob on the water again!

Jimbo

Jim,

So far I like the rod. I got it in the Orifice Outfit-rod, line +backing, and the reel. When I was casting it in my pool without a leader or fly, I wasn't too impressed. The slight wind wasn't helping but when I took it to the water with a 9ft 5x leader and a size 10 fly (yeah these locals go after big flies) it really started to grow on me. The superfine Carbon line are considered full flex. My other new SF rod, 8ft 4wt, seems more of a mid flex and this 2 wt rod is closer to a full flex but not quite. I feel it more 3/4 or slightly more.

I plan to do a review comparing both when I have more time on the water with them but until then I'd recommend the 2ft if your looking for a niche short small stream rod. It casts accurately. roll casts nicely, bow and arrow casts nicely. Not a bad choice. Fun little rod.
