Daughter many years ago.

Luc,

Looks like she’s got that bass catching gene also.

Good memories, for sure!

How I remember this day in the locals...at a place that is still pretty wild and beautiful and you have to work for your fish.

Fly fishing and this forum have been responsible for me to learn something that has given me immense pleasure and made lifelong friends who have mentored me patiently over the years and given me such joy. Especially now, these FlyFishingAddicts, have given the opportunity to go to some of the most beautiful places in the world and enjoy some memorable moments that I cherish. Here's to friends

Here's a trip to the big river up north where we continued the meeting of new friends and willing fish.

We spent a lot of Winters on this local together

Image

One of those magic days and places where everything lines up perfectly...if only for a few hours. Mark Allen doing what he does so well.

Image

This fish came out of the same trip. Getting to the hole was interesting as I am challenged with short legs...but it was well worth it.

Image

Tom Sakai and I have fished for a lot of years since that first day on the locals catching tiny wild Browns on a tiny creek. We fish at the same pace and although he is more agile....I have a better beard :P

Image

How long the beard will stay is anyone's guess. Looking forward to see what folks will share here going forward.

The Kern River Valley is socially distant under nearly all circumstances.

The landing net conversion was tested yesterday. It worked, and worked, etc.

PS the dink was the first catch so got a photo

Great idea for the net!

Looks like “40-love” with those fish.

Well, since almost all of my pics are on Photo#ucket (with their lousy degradation), the few I have uploaded on IMGUR will have to do.
