So, for those that have seen this video, does anybody know what all the posturing was about? It looked like they were challanging each other for the prime perch.

Hey all!
I've been laying low lately, not a whole lot to report. I've gone from fishing 2-3 times a month to seemingly only 2-3 times a year!
Anyway, Papasequoia asked if he could post this here, and I really have never been here. I see a lot of familiar people around, so I joined up, and I'm going to jump right in.
Bob- I don't know what they were doing. It looked more like a dominance thing once I reviewed the footage. I watched them for about an hour, and they really didn't do much besides stand around. I think I got a little lucky when they faced off like that.

Gary, I don't think it was a "pair". The reason I say that is that neither of them had the pronounced white underfeathering of mature birds. I believe they were both juvenile birds. Hopefully, I'll hear back from the Condor research groups I contacted, and they can clue us in.
Glad you guys liked it, it sure was cool to see them out in the open, and seemingly doing well. That speaks volumes for how far they've come since being poised on the brink.
