Hello... nice place you have here, sure, I'll have a PBR

Hey there,

I just wanted to introduce myself as another So Cal local. I've been checking out a whole bunch of forums lately and I missed this one. Although, I have been to the site... really great info. Anyway, Rayfound found me flopping around somewhere else and pointed me in the right direction. If, down the road, you have any problems with me you can talk with him : )

Now to find something smaller than my 4 weight, I have a feeling I'll be needing it.

You may wnt to get an 8-weight for some of the locals like this guy:

Welcome aboard DSF!
You should have a lot of fun here, and if you do * up, we will blame it on Ray!

And even though he has "out-dinked" me with that prize, I am not sure he caught it on a fly!
I do not see a #14 in it's mouth!

Welcome to the nut house. Lots of good folks hanging around. Don't know about sharing a PBR but how about a Fat Tire?

there is a little martini bar by my place, The Liquid Kitty, which sells a drink called the Low Life. This is a PBR with a shot of well bourbon. With their stimulus specials this fantabulous smack in the head is only $3.00. I think I'm going to add a post on my blog.

Sweet! more people from the westside. I'm in Culver City myself and new to the board as well. I'll stick to my expensive microbrew beers though.

Do you guys have a shop out here on the westside you like? Or do you just venture over to The Spot on weekends when traffic isn't horrific?

It's all about The Spot. Although you can check out Doc's Ski Haus; they are not really a full bore fly shop with everything you need like the Spot. But, for emergencies like Friday night and you can't find your tippet, etc. it is a life saver. Ask to speak to Grant.

Exactly. Only for the last minute stuff. The Spot and Bob Sands take care of all I need!

Ok, I guess either I'm getting old and not up on the latest slang or my head is in the clouds somewhere. What's PBR? :?:

Think of a really cheap beer. Kind of like Coors only an Eastern brew.......

Or at least I assume he was referring to a Pabst Blue Ribbon...
