No. Cal. for August

Postby stanbery » June 29th, 2009, 5:35 am

Guys and Gals

Zee, Mike, Eric and I been thinking about fishing Norther CA when Zee is in town since Zee has never fished No. Ca. waters.
So my question is what Rivers, Creeks, Streams or lakes do you addicts think we should try to hit?

All PM's welcome.

Thanks

Jon

Large Rivers:
The Pit and the Hat are very nice, McCloud: Redding distance away.
East Walker, West Walker, Carson: 395

Exploring the whole Tahoe area is great: tons of small streams and wonderful lakes.

You could even hit all the lakes up near Virgina lake, explore that area and stay at Virgina Lodge with Carolyn Webb. She knows those lakes like her hand.

How far north do you want to go?

If you can swing it, take a float down the Lower Sac. There are big strong rainbows in there year around. It will be hot in Redding but being on the river will drop the apparent temperature down into manageable level. Also checkout Manzanita Lake in Lassen Volcanic National Park. It's a great little lake for float tubin'

Hey guy's

I am o.k to do backcountry lake's and trust me I find some good one's with some nice Goldens up to 20'' and I bin there and there are so many of them need exploring. But JON you have to loos some weight so I can carry you on my back :comfort: :comfort: . I know you dont like to hike and these lakes I know are 10 + mile in. But we can fish our good lakes with nice fish. We will see, but I just can not wait be in Mammoth area.

Thanks Zee
