At 2:35 of the video. "I can spend the whole day....just fishing". Duh!
I'm a sucker for just about anything fly fishing.....but I don't know. Every time I picture a collapsible fishing pole, I hear Ron Popeil's voice pitching how great it is.
I too wondered about the comment of impossible to make that casts across the creek with a normal fly rod.
There's a little known thing called a rollcast that could pull off such a difficult thing. The secret society of high stickers would be the only ones to pull off the cross creek drifts.
From a purely traditional technique perspective, I think it's interesting. Being superior to others for creek fishing. Nah. I do think dapping has it's merits for creekin', and this would certainly be something Tenkara excels at. The thing that sticks in my mind as the most important, "a simpler style of fly fishing". I get too wrapped up in the latest and greatest. Tenkara is close to a cane pole and string.
