Nice to see some big ones get put back.....and this is a big one!

Considering the potential world record, the meat factory it came from, and the possible added revenue the guide could have received from a client's record fish......I say good on ya boys!

Well, one can hope the fish gets his 'Happy Ending'. Image
How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.

That's a heck of a king. The Kenai is a pretty amazing fishery.

If had to choose a way to go out, "passing my genes" to the next generation would be high on the list. :P The slowly decaying and dieing part, not so great.

I'm sure the future wall mounted Golden would of much rather died trying to pass on his genes too!

True, but I am absolutely certain that that golden passed on his genes. Several times at least. That said, I do wish he'd been left in the water, within the law or not. I'll not bag on the guy for it, but it's what I wish had happened.

If it exhausted you that much to kill you, you know you'd die happy

Plenty more babies are coming, too bad we can't get that back in our California waters and Oregon...

sorry about changing the topic......

It is nice to possibly see Catch and Release spreading into other fishing communities.
