Considering the potential world record, the meat factory it came from, and the possible added revenue the guide could have received from a client's record fish......I say good on ya boys!

That's a heck of a king. The Kenai is a pretty amazing fishery.

If had to choose a way to go out, "passing my genes" to the next generation would be high on the list. The slowly decaying and dieing part, not so great.

True, but I am absolutely certain that that golden passed on his genes. Several times at least. That said, I do wish he'd been left in the water, within the law or not. I'll not bag on the guy for it, but it's what I wish had happened.
