Just wanted to give an official "thank you" to all of your for your help in planning our last minute trip to the eastern sierra's...
To stanbery for scatching my yosemite "itch"
To Rayfound for helping me realize I don't have to be an idiot and drive in circles... fly in one place and out of another (you'd think that'd be obvious, novice traveler's mistake??)
To wildfly for all the info and for pointing me to drcreek
and most importantly to DrCreek for so generously pointing me in the direction of some beautiful places and great fishing and suffering through all of my questions!
Definitely not an all inclusive list... all of the info was helpful and I think I checked every single link posted ha. Finding lodging was a bear... and I wouldn't have been able to pull it off without all the links for options. The bed and breakfast in Mammoth was a great find and gave us easy access to the east side!
The Cinnamon Bear Inn bed and breakfast was affordable (~115/night) and was really comfortable and convenient
killer breakfast
Lived up to its name... had a black bear out front one night... (pretty dark but you can see the outline... it was huge)
Thanks again!! and I'll work on putting together a post or two for the creeks and lakes sections as I get time during the day. Post-vacation mondays are the worst...
