Sinking line for bass rod

I've noticed that the heat is starting to pull the bass down to the colder depths. I fish in lakes and ponds using a float tube or pontoon boat and would like to get my fly line down to the fish. I use a Sage Large Mouth rod which comes with special 330 grain(weight/size?) floating line. What type and size of sinking line should I buy? I have never used sinking line before, so any information will be helpful.

I really like the Rio Custom Cut Outbound line (T-11) with the head trimmed to 30ft. This will give you 330 grns of fast sinking line. I use the T-8 version (cut to 30ft) on my 6wt (240 grns) when I need to get to the bottom when fishing the surf or tubin' San Diego Bay.

What Ricard said. If(don't fish that deep for LMB) I wanted to fish deeper than 15' or so, i'd go with one of the Custom Cut lines. For the Largemouth rod....which is close to a 10wt rod, I'd choose the Custom Cut T-14. SA makes a custom cut line in T-14 too. For water up to about 10' deep, I used Rio's sinktip.

There's a learning curve for lines like the custom cuts. Think very little to no false casting. Timing is critical....not the cast as much as your ducking.
