MI has some great fishing. That brown must have come out of the Lake, and up the river. It's so big, it looks fake!
Set the hook!

Pretty impressive....

The Caspian Sea over in Western Asia use to be home a race of sea Run browns that went to 100 lbs..(!!!!!!) these beasts would spend their lives out in the Sea eating various bait fish, and then in the Fall would run up the Rivers draining into the Sea. Fishermen would net and spear these Monsters. Unfortunately due to Human interference this Race of Giants is extinct. The Caspian Sea is all messed up from what I've Read. They use to call these Big Browns the Caspian Salmon... :(

On another forum, a guy posted he knew the previous record holder from Arkansas, and he wasn't upset at being eclipsed. Guess he knew it was coming. He commented that they/Arkansas ffers aren't too worried because they know they have another world record swimming around in a few of their rivers.

Fish this big are at the top of the food chain. Not sure i'd want to wet wade these waters.

There is some disappointment in Ar. They are having a * of a time even getting a trophy area expanded from 1 mile to 2.7 miles on the Norfork. There is too much overharvesting there now. There are big fish in Ar, but there could be even more with better management and better fishermen ethics. The fly guides are fighting hard for better practices in Ar and if they get the support from game and fish, the record could be broken there again.

Mike

On the Big Fish Hunt 3 I should be able to get you into some brown that are over 18". I need to get one over 22" myself, I have hooked some but have not been able to land them.
