Had a great time... FLies that worked for me.

The San Juan bait (I really hate using this fly)

On Friday night I hooked into the biggest fish I have seen on the kern above town!
Got him on a stimulater! What a rush... but I freaked out and lost him... I saw him the following day at the bottom of the pool.... couldnt get him to move at all! There are still some hogs in the kern!

Had a great time that night as well and meeting some new fellow flyfisherman. Maybe oneday I'll start tying instead of drinking all the beer :D Loved the stuffed mushrooms as well.

Bill I swear that last pic of you in your white trash suit sitting on the rock fishing was soo me on Saturday after frustratingly still being skunked of trout in the tourney HAHA!

I grew up in the 08 but on the Western nicer side of it..

You have to cross west over Hwy. 99 to get to the good side of "08" - I.E. Olive Drive ,the original River Lakes ,Willow Cove ,Emerald , it's all 08 all the way to Coffee Rd.

Grew up in the real 08 :rockon: :rockon: Oildale! 1976-1995 Wingland Elementary and Standard Middle School :rockon:

Now I live in 08 with a Gate..aka what used to be called Fruitvale just off Patton.

Official Oildalian here...Oildale RiverRat that is :!:
