Looking good. Do you glue your grip cork onto the blank and turn them that way or use a mandrel to turn them then transfer to the blanks? I've always used a mandrel, but have heard of folks doing it directly o their blanks.

I use a mandrel. The only time that I would turn the blank is if I was doing a swelled butt.

Well the Fly Rod is done. Bob sent in a great looking rod sock as well for this build.

How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.
