St. Croix Rods

Does anyone have any experience with the St. Croix Imperial Series rods? I'm going to get a 9ft. 6wt. 2 piece and was wondering what others have thought of them.

I have one of the older Imperial 5 weights. I think last year, they upgraded the rods, so my rod may not be similar. The older Imperials, were medium action rods. I found them similar to the old Sage DS(Discovery)rods. St. Croix has a reputation for building good rods at fair prices. The few(Imperial, Avid & Ultra)I've cast all seemed very nice.
