maybe his cousin, article said guy was from Yosemite, was Joe up there when he got his pic?

That smaller fish looks like a brown as well. This big brown looks like it might be cannibal. I can make out the red spots on the smaller fish. Nice photo

Nice pic, although not mine. I'm thinking I may have to submit the Samson story and pic to a mag soon. Just unbelievable that the underwater shot (of Samson) came out so well...

I never get tired of these photos!
I begin a 2 week brown trout hunt this weekend and I have everything from articulated zoo cougars to bass bugs. I also have small stuff like ... uh ... size 6 wooly buggers LOL. I hope I can find it again but there is a neat historical document that logs large browns out of the Merced right in the heart of Yosemite. Most caught back in the heyday of Airstream trailers and Coleman camp stoves. They are far and few between but they did and probably still do exist.
I love the Samson legacy! Keep the faith fellow anglers!
