My condolences to your wife. Now she'll never see you and won't get that new washing machine. Better to have the rod than clean clothes.
And what was the deal? You never said. How $$$$$

Too big, too heavy, too stiff for my liking :o

Just playing (kinda)... beautiful rod.. the blanks are coming down to the mid-200's pretty good deals out there on those big sticks.

Andy,

I wasn't wearing a speedo in that clown shot and I don't plan on wearing one in any future shots, either. Just sayin'. :bananadance:

I dont' have a wife yet, probably why I was able to just buy this on impulse  As far as the deal went, let's just say I paid under the msrp for the blank! Brand new with warranty card! Now that the rose parade madness is over for me I think I deserve some fishin this weekend. Gotta try this thing out!

You're going to love that rod. I got the 00 the year it came out, and it is my most-used rod. It will throw a lot more than you think, too. I've used #12 stimulators with a dropper with no problems on short casts (and as a rule short casts are all you will be doing with this rod). Have fun!

Thanks - just learned about this site from midger (Mike) Saturday. I had left him a message on the Kern board suggesting a trip to Lee's Ferry later this spring after I finished recovering from neck surgery (on Dec.28). He called me up and that's how I found out about this board. Finally found out where everyone went from the old Southwest board. I have to admit I don't post as much as I used to - you can only post so many photos of 8" trout in your hand before they all look alike.
