Karen and I like to do some fishing be for the fly show in Pleasanton on Feb 25, 26. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to fish.

Might check out Putah Creek west of Davis.. not far from Pleasanton....

Putah, or the west slope(east of Modesto)would probably be the closest trout fishing. Both would require a drive of over an hour. I'm sure there is some carp fishing closer, but I just don't have any info for that area. I'm thinking of combining a Delta trip with the show, but I seriously doubt I'll make it to the show, if I'm on the water.

For what it's worth, I wish they would update their website, and show who's doing what at the show. Right now, there is no schedule programs/seminars listed. I know(talked to a buddy who's doing a couple)they are having some seminars, but it sure would be nice if I could plan ahead to be there for some.
