Group rod blank order

Postby castaway » February 9th, 2010, 9:18 am

Gentlemen,

I am hoping someone might need a new blank? I am going to order a 6 piece 7'6" 0wt slow action blank from CTS rods out of New Zealand.

The problem is that its 32.50 (USD) for shipping which puts the price of the blank at 270.00 (32.50 for shipping plus 40 for a custom design) - I think if we do a group order, we can lower the shipping charge. let me know.

Any rod, any weight, any color, any action, any length....

I put the quality of these blanks up against any rod out there... the rod building forum has a lot of good reviews..

I will make a rod tube for it.. I was going to order the vintage series, yea.

I just got an email from him.. the shipping for one rod is like 32.00 the total shipping for three rods is 38.50

So yea... the more we can order the bigger the savings we all get.

If you want to wait a bit thats fine I can wait till March... but want to have something together soon.

I'm intrigued by this blank too, I'd like to know more about it!!

Bill-
I see nothing there that's the blank you described, are you getting it custom built or am I just blind?

They will custom build a blank for 40 bucks extra (if its not on the list, its a custom build)

If you look at some of the fine print on the individual rod descriptions, they say: available in 1 to 6 pieces and from line wts 0 to 13

so like for the rod i want. a 0wt 4 piece is 200 USD but for a 6 piece its 240 USD. A 7'6" rod would pack down to what? like 15'?

But if your looking for something you cant find anyplace else... like a slow action 6 piece 0wt... iit works.

Here is the link to the custom blank page

be sure to read the section on power, taper, and action.

Jon,

Good source, but they dont have the custom rods, and actually you really dont save any money by ordering through them. They sell the 10' 3wt affinityx for 217.00 plus prob 5-10 dollars shipping. Pretty much the same price as ordering it directly from CTS, but you dont get to pick the color etc...

I wish i could upload a pdf file... I have a file with all the prices and added products.

Zee, if you order soon - we can give the blank to Rockstar to take with him to your home... would save the trouble of shipping.
