Tried to respond to Alpine Angler's post on Kern River Fly Fishing website. I tried to mention flyfishingaddicts.com, but the website censored your site name.

Not to bring up bad memories but what exactly happened? I've been a member of both forums for a year or so(maybe longer) and I always hear about this rift or fallout or whatever. In fact I remember the good Dr. posting on the Kern site for a while when I first signed up and then one day he was gone. No more posts and no more good insight.

Anyway, no big deal if it's personal or private or whatever. Just thought I'd ask.

Not worth bringing up again, it's water under the bridge and we've moved on, sorry. Maybe around a campfire somewhere, but only if the scotch you bring is single malt. (Wait, better make that two bottles, it's a long story with lots of chapters and some of the others on this board drink a lot)

This conversation has occured over many a camp fires over the past few years... usually ends up with a bunch of sailor talk... But if you bring the drink, and show me a new honey hole, I would be willing to put my 2 cents in again!

Its almost as interesting as discussing Russian - U.S. relations from 1945 - 1990...

I got locked out about 6 months ago also. I sent a couple e-mails to the site, talked to Bill at the shop, called and talked to the Reckell, nobody seemed to care. No reason that I'm aware of unless it's because I posted reports here more often.
