IT'S SNOWING!

Postby WanderingBlues » May 23rd, 2010, 7:06 am

So, I heard the snow hitting the window last light while sleeping, but when I got up this morning- BLAM...... 2-3" on the ground and it's coming down strong at 0700 hours. This is the 2nd latest snowfall I've seen in 19 years of living up here. The latest was June 6th, 1995-when my son was born. Guess I won't have a morning session.

Nice to see a late dusting. Although, it might delay the high country trek's.

Crazy weather, one of my friends said that even Tehachapi was getting snow a couple hours ago. I know it'll be melted before I go up there today though.

Still coming down. About 4-5" on the deck. On the bright side, it'll put the snakes down for a bit!

What are you talking about, stormy weather days are the best for that! You just cozy back up under the covers with the wife and... Oh wait. I think our definitions of "morning session" may be different. :D Great news on the snow though! It will also kill of some of the mosquito population which will be great.

Thank you, sir! Not often the camera is ever on me, so I took advantage of it.

Pretty sweet to get snow this time of year. Must be because of global warming ;)

Darn global warming is getting crazy! Of course some scientists may say this is proof. I guess the water levels in the local streams wont be going down too soon.

A little useless fact, I wonder what the people of Santa Barbara thought when they hit 133 degrees in 1859 (look it up!). Global warming psshh, it's just a warm spell for a century or 2.

Bear Valley Springs was very pretty yesterday with 3-4" of snow, that was pretty much melted by 6pm.
