Hi from Nevada

For topics that don't seem to have a home elsewhere.

Hi from Nevada

Postby flyfishnevada » June 3rd, 2010, 8:48 pm

Didn't see a section for introductions, so this seemed the best place to do this. I can't believe I hadn't found this place before. It's exciting to see a fly fishing forum dedicated to the Sierras. Ever since the forums over at California Fly fisher become a ghost town for some reason, I have been looking.

Anyway, I am 43 and been fly fishing since I was in my mid twenties. I was born and raised in Carson City, but now live in Smith Valley. I consider the East Walker my home water, I suppose. Look forward to diving in and learning a little and offering a little. Later!!

Welcome. A lot of great folks hang out here.

The EW is a nice river so you have a great "home" water.

Welcome to the fray Dan!

Love the avatar!

Great people here, and some spend way too much time on the EW! Cal side....

I generally fish Pyramid Lake and the East Walker (in California too). I spend a lot of time just over the border (I live about 45 minuted from Bridgeport and 20 from Topaz) in the Eastern Sierras, June Lake Loop, Virginia Lakes, Twin Lakes, Bridgeport Reservoir, Mammoth, Owens, Hot Creek, etc. I also get up Hwy 88 now and then. I used to Fish Hinkson Slough in Nevada a lot, but lately not as much.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!
