Come Join Us for:
A MAJOR SAN GABRIEL RIVER CLEAN UP
(West Fork, East Fork, and North Fork)
Saturday, July 10th, 2010
8:30 AM – Noon
Meeting Place: Rincon Fire Station
about 12 miles north of Azusa on Route 39, passed OHV area, on the right hand side
This is right after the busy 4th of July weekend. We need your help – and strong arms - to clean up these idyllic streams, which are not only a popular recreational haven, but also the source of 65% of our drinking water and the home to wild Rainbow Trout and an endangered native fish, the little Santa Ana Sucker.
West Fork: Trash Clean Up, Dam Breaking, Sign Painting, and Graffiti Removal
East Fork and North Fork: Lots of Trash Clean Up and Graffiti Ramoval
Be sure to wear: hat, sunscreen, sturdy shoes (no open toes), shorts or jeans
We will provide: gloves, water, a light snack … and trash bags
