Still no Baby

When my daughter was born, I was on duty at the fire station. I was on a grass fire in Fontana when the call came from dispatch for me to return to the station. Since both our kids were born in San Clemente Hospital, I hopped in my 1964 Volkswagen beetle and roared down the freeway still wearing my soot covered dungerees. I was pulled over in El Toro and when the motor cop walked up to the car, he asked," Going to a fire?". To which I replied, "No, my wife is having our second baby!" He just laughed and told me to keep it under the speed of sound and walked away. When I got to the Delivery ward, the nurses took one look at me and marched me into the Intern's shower room and put me in clean scrubs.

My "babies" are 36 and 34 now. My world still revolves around them even as they have their own lives and children of their own. Yours will too.

Wait till you have grandkids!!

My Best advise is get as much rest now as you can. Since she is giving you a few extra day's to do so, and take full advantage of it. I know your anxious now, but elation and anxiety will turn in to being flat out tired. So do yourself a favor and get rest!

Man I am super psyched for you both and congrats in advance!! As others have said, your in for the ride of your life!!
If there's anything you need just say the word!!
Good Luck Bro!!!

One must pay his dues in fishing and in life. Hang in there buddy. Since you are in the red zone of your wife having a child and can't go fishing :comfort: I was thinking about some of the boy's and I taking the day off of fishing tomorrow in your honor. Tic toc tic toc. What was I thinking, sorry dude maybe on your next child. I'll catch one for you! :D

Starting to look like its going to happen tomorrow at the induction, unless something changes fast.
Fishing is the most wonderful thing I do in my life, barring some equally delightful unmentionables.
