I use a similar setup, but without the ability to move the fly/indicator up and down the line. I like that feature, and am going to watch it again to see his rigging method. Before I tied the nymph from the bend of the big floater, whether it was a stimulator, adult stone, or hopper.

It's getting to be hopper season. Steve at the Spot kept telling me, "Hoppers, there's gonna be hoppers!" today when I was in the shop. Hopper fishing can be really explosive, and combined with nymphs, it's very productive.

That was a good instructional video. I don't know how much I would actually be inclined to use that method but I could see that it would work real good. It was maybe for advanced flyfishers but he gave some very good beginner and intermidiate advise. (about setting the hook downstream and about watching the fish so you can move the rod in the oppisite direction)

Yeah, I brought this up over a year ago. I still use the method occasionally and keep my own version of the hoppicator.

That is a pretty good video. I appreciate the use of a heavily-weighted anchor fly instead of tungsten putty or split shot. As for the dry hopper, I still haven't found much that beats a large Stimi or Amy's Ant.
