You know what, I totally forgot about that. I wish I had remembered, I'm slapping my forehead doing a Homer (Doh!) Oh well. I thought about doing a float anyway as the best fishing in the area is floating the north or middle forks of that river, but in the end I just decided not to spend the cash. Oh well, next time.

I was kind of expecting it as I have also had some not so pleasant encounters crossing back and forth between Canada and the US in the past, but this time they were fine. Just asked about my bear spray and let me pass. Coming back into the US the guy was fairly gruff, but after a few questions (and checking the passports) let us pass. All in all not too bad, but the prices to enter the park in Canada were a lot higher.

Yeah, those clouds were awesome, thanks for supplying the type of cloud- I was going to look it up as I was sure they had a specific name. It did rain more that night, and again the next day...and the next...and the next. Welcome to the Rockies in the summertime. I was missing our relatively drier Sierras.
Oh, I forgot to mention that the Middle Fork of the Flathead (where we rafted/kayaked) is where they filmed a lot of the river scenes for the film The River Wild, the one where Meryl Streep is a river guide.
