The incredibly well written article was researched, written and submitted by our own very talented Papasequoia. Being accepted by the Drake is a pretty big deal. Well done, Jon!

Yeah, every single word in that article was written by me, and originally it was published with my name as the author. How interesting to see that it is now listed as "by Tom Bie" who is the publisher of the Drake magazine. I will save the choice words going through my mind at the moment for the Drake where profanity is permitted. :fireangry:

Jon.....I saw that immediately, and was actually wondering if you were using a pen name or something. I was confused for sure :?

Does plagiarism apply for a review? I would think so...... :? :? :?

I'll go ahead and hope that this was an honest mistake. That's extremely bad news if this is typical behavior.

EDIT: Since Jon got an apology and he is fine with it, then no need to rant.

Hacth71 posted a link to the blog vs the Drake Home page.
Jon's article was in fact added to the blog by Tom Bie, just saying.

I just got a nice note from Tom Bie apologizing and saying that they will fix it. I'm sure it was accidental - it's not like the publisher of the magazine needs to take credit for a short piece that was posted on their web version for a few weeks. I think Benny probably found the reason in blog addition vs. when it was posted originally.

In any case, it was a nice article if I do say so myself, ( ) and if you haven't visited Dave's shop yet, be sure to stop by the next time you find yourself in Bishop! :D

Jon
Please. Plagiarism is the most sincere compliment a writer can receive. Surely, you did not write the article just for all the accolades and awards you might receive, though they might be many. :comfort:
If plagiarism was not socially somewhat acceptable I would still be a student at UCD and many of our best Politicians would be speechless. :D
Wait maybe your right. Speechless Politicians would be worth another 4 years of college.

I was just happy to see Dave get some national recognition. Had I known that Papa wrote it I probably wouldn't have bothered to read it ;) ;) ;)
