Hello here...

Postby czech flyfisherman » October 17th, 2010, 3:10 pm

Hello everyone....

So finaly I start loging in here again, I have some problem with my I.P address, but one of my friend was working hard and he did good.

I know it was long time I post here, but it was just too crazy over here with everythink. But know I will be checking a posting here more often. I just spend 4 days in Slovenia in Bled. I fish three rivers.
1,Sava Bohinka trophy part
2,Sava Dolinka C&R part
3,Idrica river

Also we help do some stocking over here and all the people there are realy nice.

The Slovenia can offer some OWESOME fishing, but it can be very expensive, forexample river #1 is 50euro a day, river #2 is 40euro and river #3 is 90euro a day. But in Idrica you can catch Marble trout, Bows, Bowns, Hybrits and huge Grayling. I lost there one Marble trout and he was easly 90 - 100 cm long. Also in Idrica river its normal to catch Browns and Bows around 50 - 60 cm long and you can see fish over 1 meter long....its just incredible....I was using just steamers so I didnt catch any grayling, but they are there and big ones.

The river 1 and 2 I was catching mostly bows around 50 cm and bigger and man they fight very hard, the rivers there are very clear, there are in blue and green color...and pools can be from 1mup to 15m deep.....so you have to watch out where you move.... :) .

In 4 days I caught o lot of nice fish......the weather was fine.
Also Slovenia is 700km from my place so its took me around 6 hour drive up there, but it was wort it.

I will post pict tomorrow....I promise....

I hope you guys will forgive me for I didnt post here.

Also you can chceck SIMMS video they did in Slovenia in same rivers where I was fishing.

Great to hear from you Zee. Sounds like some great fishing, can't wait to see the pics. Jim Wildman, Dr creek, and I went to Blu's welcome home party put on by his family. Blu's looking good and we are glad he is home safe.

Zee-
How wonderful to hear from you. I can't wait to see the pictures of the fish you are catching over there. Hopefully, there will be a couple of your new bride and your new house.
We often talk of you and how you would enjoy the "big fish hunts" with Stanbery and the gang. Are you still fishing the pole that Terry Henson gave you that last trip?

I still watch the eagles flying over the Owens but my catch rate has gone up quite a bit....thanks mostly to your instruction and guiding. Give me a call one of these days and we'll catch up.

It's great to read a post from you!

Your friend,
Jim

Good to see you posting Zee. Looking forward to some pics too. Did you have a shot at any of the Huchen? I know they'll take a stremer. :D
How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.
