Fall is obviously here to stay, the weather is changing, streams are getting cooler.......

Fish are biting, I assume, and the Owens is dropping.

Folks must be getting ready for a fine winter of fishing, eh?

I just got back to California from 4 months in Idaho, but I just plan on staying for a short time to gather more things to move to Idaho. Trying to make the move is tough when you still have a home in California, but I now have one in Idaho as well so I expect to be doing some in betweens for the next year or so, as well as getting some fishing in in both states with an occasional foray into Oregon for browns thrown in.

So, what am I doing for fall? Today I made up some camo indicators for all those tung bead flies I throw in the fall/winter months.

Moving? But we haven't even fished together. Well I guess I'll have to just watch your photo's of the new digs and fish... much like I do with Sasha's great photos. Love the Camo and flies.

Those indicators are actually fashioned after Doc and Sasha's clown get ups. Should be easy to see under different light conditions, eh?

Them Nymphs is tasty!!! interesting color combo on those Indicators.. but a great idea for rivers/Creeks where a drift will go thru sunlight and shadow in a single drift.
I stopped using Yarn Indicators a few years ago.. Nowadays I use mostly European Inline Indicators.. which can be purchased pre~made or it's really easy to make your own.... they do not rely on Floating and actually work below the surface as well as above the surface.. You will detect Takes with the inline indicator You missed with a floating Yarn or Foam indicator...( )
