Thank You Addicts

Postby thtsarumr » November 21st, 2010, 12:27 pm

On behalf of me and my family, I just want to tell you all thank you very much from the bottom of my heart. The amount of love and support that my family and I have received from this community and the members of this forum is beyond reproach. I was completely blown away from the turn out that came up to PVR to welcome me home. I know that there were those of you who were unable to be there but believe me when I tell you that I knew you were there in spirit. I also want to say a special thank you to Wildman, Stanberry, Eric, Fly Addict, Planet Trout, Cheap stuff, Rockstar, Midger, Treecatcher, PapaS., Pete, Trace, David, Dave, Darrin, Curtis and Son, Duck Dog, and Craig for making this site a gathering place friends to come together for an occasion that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Thanks again and I will see you on the water.

Blu, believe me when I say it was our pleasure to do have done something to say thankyou and to welcome you home. While I certainly wish the conditions for fishing had been a bit better, everything else about the weekend was a success. I was stoked seeing Matt's pics from Sunday with Josh catching fish in the gorge. Very cool. 8-) 8-)
How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.

It was the least we could do for your services Blu. We're all glad to have you back and congratulations on your new daughter Alexandra Christine! It was great seeing/fishing with you and meeting your brother Josh.

Blu,

I know that everybody that got involved did so because we all appreciated what you and your family has sacrificed for our freedom and country.

Good to finally meet you Blu and make a few casts together. Hopefully next time we'll have more bites. Thanks again for all you do. Those Armenian kabobs wouldn't be here in this country safe, sound, and free without men and women like you!

There is one drawback to all of this though, Blu. If you ever outfish any of us we can give you an endless ration of you what that it was only due to the equipment (rod, line, flies, whatever) and nothing whatsoever to do with skill.

Glad you made it back safe and sound, and congrats on the newest addition to the family!! :D Jon

Blu-
It was such a pleasure to be able to be up in that Eastern Sierra campground and watch this all unfold. As they say, "I love it when a plan comes together". Listening to you talk about bamboo rods and waders in the days before made it very difficult to not slip. Each of the many folks who contributed in so many ways did so very willingly. You got the see the results. We are thrilled you came home to your family safe and sound....thrilled you got to be there to greet your newest addition to the family and thrilled that we could be a part of all this.

Welcome home, SSGT Joe Felix, Jr! We salute and thank you for your service!
