Good stuff Gents! Lots of good pointers for me to consider. Now, I am thinking a mid-September run would be best. We are also considering shipping our stuff ahead to my buddies cousin's house in Booise and flying up.

Benny, having a high ground clearance vehicle is a great idea. We are talking about our options and still planning. Thanks for everyones ideas. I read each post and took notes...Literally!


Planettrout, if perusing the links you posted is indicative of the amount of fishing to be had, I best narrow my target area! that was a suggestion also given by Beachbum, so thank you!

It's a long ways off but the northern rockies are getting a good start toward a big run off. The La Nina weather pattern has provided plenty of early season snow and it looks like the storm track will remain favorable for winter storms for some time to come. I've traveled and fished some of that route, the possibilties are endless!
