Some of you may have seen Justin's post and my post regarding me trying out his Sage TXL 000 recently. This is in spite of my cardinal rule (I made it for autos but it applies here too) "never test drive a car you're not willing to buy." Well, I wasn't going to buy one unless it was a good deal. And, along comes Midger only a week later (in the for sale board) with a very good deal I couldn't pass up. So, it came in today, can't wait to try my very own TXL 000. Tom.

Congrats on joining the ultralight side. I've got the TXL 00wt and love it for tossing dry flies on small creeks and streams.

I read Midger's post and thought for a nano-second how I'd love to step into that small world of ultra-light. What a great deal and it went to a nice home.

Tom, enjoy the new addition to your lineup. I bought the TXL000 in October.

If you need a reel, I picked up a Sage 3100 in Pewter from Anglers Pro for $185.00 ($200.00 with line added).

I'm pretty sure that they have more of these if you are interested.

You can contact Bill at Anglers if interested.

Good prices, good service, quick shipping.

Good luck with the rod Tom. It's tailormade for the locals for those into the super lights. (I still have a SPL 1 weight, but won't be using it much in Idaho--more of 3 weight and above territory for me)

The rod I sold him came with a reel and a new 000 Sage line, so he's good to go until he decides if he wants to upgrade to a sage reel. Maybe Santa (ho-ho-ho) will give him one.

Try putting a drop shampoo on the lenses, smear it around and then wipe them clean. It works on the half glass on my hockey helmet.

Too small for how I fish but you should really like it for the little guys.

Just as a FYI all Sage TXL Fly Rod Blanks are on sale right now for $179.95
