What is your pet peeve?

People who curse the same outdoor writers they call to hot-spot from... oh wait, thats me.

Road trip partners who get out to pump gas, go to the johs, go inside to get a snack, and then get in the truck just to shut the door and rip a hot one to stink the cab up for the next hour.

Fishing a run for a half hour without a strike only to move on and watch David spank 3 in a row...

Pretty sure he's talking about his brother. Hope your Jeep has stopped stinking, it's been a couple weeks now.

On my favorite small streams I fish...
#1 Live bait, power bait, salmon eggs... any bait.
#2 Trash, beer cans, diapers, ammo casings, and with particular disgust, empty bait containers.
#3 Websites that blow up spots "100 fish a day" and "wild rainbows jumping on a bare hook"

There's more... but most everyone else has already said it.

aside from the many already stated (wind, trash, wind, improper fish handling, and wind) i have an odd one.

my biggest pet peeve on the water, and anywhere for that matter, is when you pass something to a buddy (flies, tippets, rods, etc.), and he/she takes it withoyut saying "i got it" or acknowledging that they have a firm grip of whatever they are being passed. I know it sounds weird, but i cant count how many lost flies and dropped items this has resulted in. think about it, and you might understand what i mean.

Anglers fishing right on top of you. Especially when their is lots of river to fish.

Having my coke taken on Hot Creek. I use to walk down after eating lunch and hide a coke under a bush to drink after fishing awhile. Would come back sometimes as little as 20 min and find the coke gone. To bad it was always thought of as left trash.

Bad fishing weather (rain, cold, wind) on my days off.

I really don't care for wild trout or small moving waters. Also, I hate it when I'm the only one on a stretch of water for as far as the eye can see. And silence, only punctuated by the soundtrack of bubbling water and the occasional rise of a feeding trout-- well that one just sends me over the top.

Why golly gee, that's an easy one to fix - just post the names of some of those streams on an open forum somewhere. Problem solved. :?
