Polypropylene Thermals (best brand???)

For topics that don't seem to have a home elsewhere.

I'm not a fan of silk, for many of the reasons you mentioned! It's nice & comfy, but not very good in very cold & wet weather. I'm also not a big fan of wool, because it doesn't wick moisture or dry as fast as poly. But then again, neither of those stink as bad as poly! But I'd rather stink than get cold!

Been pondering the smartwool, would like to see a pair before I drop $60 on each piece.

Thanks for the information, I shop at the campmor site too. They have good values.

The silk is mostly used for a liner, or as Midger said, the base layer. Put a pair on and tell me you don't feel sexy. :bananadance: You will cast longer, and catch more fish too.

Thats how I felt about the exoficio underwear feels like silk yet is a performance garment. Sorry about not pertaining to the poly pro thing but if anyone has not used it try it, especially for wet waders, it dries very fast.
