A LOT of Snow in the Locals

I'd estimate about 16-18" at the casa this morning and it's still coming down. So deep that I had to shovel out a spot for the weiner-dog to do her business.

Man, we only have a few inches here (and it’s still snowing). Actually I am sitting here wondering if I should head out for a few hours. The traffic cam shows snow on HWY 20. The problem is that it doesn't show what the dirt road I have to take

Update: Not so sure now, but not because of the snow. I just noticed that the winds are 16.33 gusting to 19.1. I will fish in all kinds of rain, snow etc. Wind is the one thing that drives me nuts

I was thinking the same thing, only snow skiing. Conditions have been great this season at Bogus.

Talked to the wife and Curtis, that's about what they have in RS as well, and our dog won't go out, shoveled spot or not. He does come out when she's shoveling the front though, so that will have to suffice.

Here at 4,500', we got about 12" but it is rapidly melting. Here's the view from my front porch:



This isn't too bad but once we get 2 feet on the ground, it makes it real hard to feed the horses.

Love the shot Jim. Wife says she got about 18 inches but the bottom layer was very wet and froze overnight making blowing a real pain.

Sasha, yes I'm in Boise. Cant's say as we're getting the amount prdicted, but the gentle snow is nice but melting as fast as it hits.

Hope you got shoveled out WB.

Tom, wife is a trooper, can't say the same for the dog.

That snow level got way low last night. When we were heading back up to Bako from Palm Springs it was snowing in Beaumont. Strange thing was the Grapevine area didn't get much accumulation but it was icey! Thankfully they didn't shut it down, and it's good to finally see some more precipitation after a blank January.
