Postby BobK » March 9th, 2011, 12:53 pm

Hi: I've been a lurker hear for quite sometime and thought that I'd jump in. I live in the Sierras(east side) and have fly fished since I was in my early teens.(many moons ago). I have learned a bunch from some of the posts here and think that I might be able to help others, especially those that get up this way. I'm illiterate when it comes to posting pics and other computer related tasks, but I'll give it a try. My biggest interests are Fly fishing and hunting which I pursue not only here but anywhere I find water. I just got back from a pig hunt on Sunday and I'm headed to Pyramid Lake tomorrow morning. Here in the valley, carp are my favorite though I do fish trout a couple times a week. Salt water sight fishing and bugling Elk are my traveling favorites. Thanks for a great site. Bob

From one Bob to another, welcome to the family!

Always looking forward to learning something new, especially when it comes to places that have befuddled me, like the LO!

Welcome to the forum Bob. Great place to live. I have family about 10 minutes from the river. You didn't say if the pig hunt was a success. Hopefully I can get a couple this weekend or next. There are about 12 of the little darlings hanging by hiway 101 every afternoon. Weird to see them by the freeway during the day. Guess the feed is just too good for them to pass up.

Welcome.
Fishing is the most wonderful thing I do in my life, barring some equally delightful unmentionables.

Welcome to the forum. Aside from learning lot, you'll find the best of all is meeting these guys and getting to throw a few flies with them. It's a class group of gentlemen.
