Bamboo rod

Postby fflutterffly » March 11th, 2011, 5:56 pm

I realize this should be in the Rod section but would like to hit the general population on this one:
Does anyone know of someone who is an expert on the history of Bamboo Rods. I was over at a friends home and they have an Orivs Joe Brooks Blank rod, a Heddon Throughbred and a Heddon Black Beauty.

Mike StClair of StClair & Hynes is another Bamboo rod historian. Lives in Riverside.
If you want, PM me and I'll send you his e-mail.

Darrell Kunitomi, who sometimes works at the Fishermans Spot is an expert on bamboo. I'm sure that the guys at the shop can put you in contact with him.

I know mr. D at the spot. Good idea. I will also check the forum. I have a few PM's as well.
Thanks all for the response. You're all great! I'm a lucky gal to have so many people to turn to in fly fishing.
