I love the story of Rob the Surf Flyfisherman drive-by! I talked to him while we worked the course, he was actually using full sinking line! What was really amazing is that we were explaining to him how all these casting techniques applied to the streams we fish.....Apparently he mainly fishes the surf!

Awesome event you guys put on!! I really wish I could've been there but I can't help that my birthday parties generally render me useless or at the least still under the influence the day after.

Great pix Jim, thanks for posting some!! Would've loved to had met some of you others that I haven't yet and of course see my usual fishing buddies that I haven't seen in months now.

Even though the morning surf fishing was a bust, it was a great tournament and BBQ. I hadn't seen Mark in over three years and for those who I met for the first time, it was truely a pleasure. I seriously think we should make this a semi annual event. I would even be willing to get some t-shirts printed up with a cool logo and everything.

Thanks to everyone who attended for making this a special experience.

Thank you all for making this a great event. It was good to see all the people I have meet at other Addicts gatherings and to meet the new members and put faces to names. It looks like everybody who came had a good time, and that is what these things are all about. I guess we just might have to do it again in the future.

I'm trying to get my girlfriend Lindsay out casting again, that was only her second time, so let's all get one of these together again. I think she likes casting on grass and avoiding getting her feet wet and touching fish
