San Martin Area Norcal?

Soooo, for the second year in a row one of my friends will be ruining any Memorial Day weekend fishing plans by getting married... the wedding will be in San Martin, CA on a Sunday. I may potentially have a few hours one or two mornings to go out and get in a few casts if there's anywhere near by. I know it's a long shot, but anything in the area??? I'll fish for anything from trout to bass to surf.

I see 4 reservoirs right around San Martin, so I'll check them out. Any info on those? They will probably be my only options because of time limitations.

I live about 10 miles from San Martin. Nice place, but not much fishing! Check your PM's.

There are several places that you can throw a fly if you really want. I live here in the area you wil be visiting. You have Coyote Lake for Bass & Panfish, and there is a C & R stream below Anderson lake.(Coyote Creek) Barbless hoks Zero limit. The stream is very tough to fish due to brushy banks but you can catch wild trout if you know what you are doing. You dont get many "Weekend Anglers" because there is no stocking of this stream.... there are bass in here as well. (10 Minute drive from San Martin) From the bass of the Dam down stream through the parks has good riffles and access. Good luck.

As previous posters have stated the lakes in the area hold decent warm-water fisheries, and there is Coyote Creek for both LMB and native trouts. Depending on how much time you'll actually have the surf could be a possibility (although seems like the 1.5hr round-trip drive will eliminate that) a few stripers have been caught recently, however our BSP fishery seems to be in a funk. San Luis reservoir has a striper fishery - but again maybe too much drive for your time constraints.

I have another warm-water fishery in mind if you had a few hours or possibly the better part of a day available. PM if you'd like details.
