Just for the record

Postby Baughb » April 15th, 2011, 11:10 am

There are so many reasons why I fly fish but in the face of our media-age and after a couple of in person conversations:

I started using a fly rod before "A River Runs Through It" although this movie and the internet made me much more aware of the amount of prose available within the subject of fly fishing.

I got a Tenkara rod 2 years ago and not because John Gierach wrote about it this month in FR&R or that Craig Matthews has a video of him fishing with one. I actually stumbled upon it while looking on the interwebs to see if any (exclusively) fresh water fish could be eaten "sushi style". I'm sure you can guess how that connection was made.

Anyway, thanks for the forum and now I'm gonna go up to the **** **** and play with the fishies on my Tenkara.

Peace to you all and let's go fishing,

Bob

Well can you eat fresh water fish sushi style?
Denny Crane: Ah. You can see them in there. Look at the crystal clear water. My fly went right by his nose. Eat it you picky *.

No. Salmon would be the closest option. Eel needs to be cooked.

Too much potential for parasites in freshwater fish. Good luck at the xxxx xxxx. I love that place!

OK, we have way too many bobs!

Have fun with the Tenkara, you should fish with our other Tenkara A-fish-inado...Rick Setina.
