Fish of the Month

For topics that don't seem to have a home elsewhere.

Nah, he hung close to the right side of the creek. :D That way his friends could not see his socket.

Could have been a fly or lure, could as easily been a rock something going over a fall. Who knows. He's the second one-eyed fish I've seen, a friend caught a nice bow a while back with just one eye.
How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.

Sounds like a fun idea, but I would be careful with the extent at which “location” would be used in the judging criteria.

Especially if a nice fish coming out of a “local” would be considered a contest winner.

I know everyone here is pretty much in tune with that…..so it’s just something to think about

TMI = BAD :) :) :)

Totally agree - but I also think we could all agree saying which NF it came from is not TMI, or even just a picture to show the size of the water. That's all I'm saying.
Fishing is the most wonderful thing I do in my life, barring some equally delightful unmentionables.

What kind of pictures? I would say pictures of the outdoors where one would fish, hike and/or backpack. Water would be nice, but mountain scenery, etc. could be cool too. Or were you thinking along the lines of the best fish picture?

Oh come on now. I was in London last summer, and when I beer there, it wasn't warm... it just wasn't cold.

It's called cellar temp or cool and it's how ales should be served. Geez. :geek:
